Flavor of the Month Summary: Chocolate & Fruit

/ Uncategorized

You may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here.  The Flavors of the Month have become more of a quarterly or so thing.  Oh well, life happens, but here we are.  The latest Flavor was Chocolate and Fruit and it was super tasty.

Here’s the rundown:

Black Forest Granola – This granola is decadent with dried cherries and a layer of chocolate on top.  It could easily be dessert!

Chocolate Covered Raspberry – I like to think of this cocktail as a fruity chocolate milk for adults.  How many cocktails do you know of that use Ovaltine and Framboise liqueur?  Trust me, it’s delicious!

Blackberry Gingersnap Pie – I fully admit this pie might not be a “looker” but what it lacks in appearance, it more than makes up for in taste.  The crunchy crust is filled with creamy chocolate ganache and a fluffy blackberry mousse.  This pie has such a lovely mix of textures and I just love the combination of chocolate and blackberry!

Chocolate and Caramelized Banana Pudding – If you’re looking for an updated version of banana pudding, this recipe is for you!  It has caramelized bananas and uses chocolate pudding and chocolate wafers.  It still has that nostalgic feel but with the flavors bumped up.

The next Flavor of the “Month” will be Snacks. I don’t know about you guys, but working from home has me searching for snack ideas that aren’t just more chips or veggies and ranch.  As always, you can find all of my Flavors of the Month on my Pinterest board.
