Don’t Judge Me Mondays: Chocolate Covered Raspberry
As I’ve mentioned before, we’ve started having a daily Happy Hour around here. I’m not sure how “happy” things are right now, but it certainly takes the edge off. :/ One of our favorites has been the White Russian. It’s a little sweet and has a lovely flavor. Well, when I was thinking about cocktails for this Flavor of the Month, I started thinking about the White Russian and how I could take that as a basis for chocolate and fruit flavors. I decided on chocolate with raspberry and it’s amazing! The chocolate milk makes this more of dessert-y cocktail than the White Russian, but I think we’re all ok with that right now, am I right?
Let’s get to it!
This recipe is for 2 drinks, but I am certainly not going to judge anyone that wants to make a gigantic cocktail for themselves. These are crazy times and you do you.
In a small measuring pitcher or bowl add the milk and mix in the Ovaltine. I really like having Ovaltine on hand to make chocolate milk or hot cocoa. It has a wonderfully rich chocolatey flavor and actually doesn’t have as much sugar in it compared to a chocolate syrup.
Fill your glass(es) halfway with ice.
Divide the chocolate milk among them and pour in the vodka and Framboise or other raspberry liqueur.
Give it all a stir and enjoy.
This cocktail is like drinking dessert with the lovely chocolate and raspberry flavor. It really does taste like a truffle!
Cheers, and hang in there everyone.
