Freestyle Soda
The Flavor of the Month theme is Lunch because I’m trying to make better options to bring to work. However, some days I don’t have time I end up buying lunch. When I do, I get pretty excited when the place has a Freestyle Coke soda machine. Have you ever used one? The first time I used one I was hooked! If you’ve never used the Freestyle, it’s a machine with a TON of flavors of soda. No one’s paying me to write this, I’m just a huge fan! One thing I love is that there’s loads of diet flavors. We drink a lot of diet soda in our house (Derek is Diabetic) so it’s awesome to have choices. There are the normal base flavors (Coke, root beer, etc.) and then each has various flavorings like peach cream soda. It’s so fun to mix and match all the flavors for hundred of combos! When Derek and I go to the movies, I’ll ask Derek for a theme and I’ll make a concoction for us based on that. I thought it would be fun to share some my favorites combinations.
Cola Blend
- Equal parts Coke (or Coke Zero), Coke Vanilla Cherry, and Coke lime.
- Top off with a dash of Mr. Pibb and Root Beer
Fruiti Tutti
Equal parts:
- Fruit Punch
- Raspberry Ginger Ale
- Vanilla Ginger Ale
Add:
- Splash of grape
Citrus
Equal parts:
- Lemon-lime soda
- Ginger ale
- Lime Ginger Ale
- lemonade
Add:
- Splash of orange soda
Cream Soda
- 1/2 Vanilla Cream Soda
- 1/4 Peach Cream Soda
- 1/4 Strawberry Cream Soda
There are Freestyle machines at AMC theaters and lots of fast food joints have them now. If you get the chance, create your own concoction, I’d love to hear what you tried!
