Don’t Judge Me Mondays: Newton’s Folly Hard Cider
For the last Don’t Judge Me Monday of October, I thought it would be fun to share a hard cider. I found this Newton’s Folly at Trader Joe’s.
This hard cider is billed as a semi-dry which seemed like the perfect way to describe it. It was crisp and apple-y but not too sweet. I like hard cider, but it’s often so sweet it feels like I’m just drinking apple juice. This was was a little sweet but also had a nice tang.
It’s only 5% alcohol by volume, so it doesn’t leave you on your face. At $5.99 for a 4-pack it also doesn’t break the bank.
Because it’s not too sweet, I think it would pair well with many foods. It would be tasty paired with a good burger with BBQ sauce on it. It would also be good on the side of an autumn soup like butternut squash. It would also be a nice companion to a slice of apple pie.
If you’ve tried this cider, I’d love to know what you thought.
