Don’t Judge Me Mondays: Spring Pimm’s Cup
Here’s another lost blog I’m reviving. 🙂
What’s that saying, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere? Monday’s over, so it’s a time for a cocktail. On this blog, Mondays are “Don’t Judge Me Mondays”. Since Monday is the first (worst?) day of the workweek, I feel like we all deserve a little reward for getting through it! Have you guys tried Pimm’s? It’s so tasty!
I first had Pimm’s in New Orleans when my husband and I went there on vacation a few years ago. We went on a cocktail tour and one of the bars had a Pimm’s Cup as its signature drink- I was hooked! Pimm’s is a gin-based liqueur from England that has a citrusy flavor. A Pimm’s Cup is made with Ginger Ale or lemon-lime soda and Pimm’s with a cucumber garnish. As the weather gets warmer I veer towards this drink. so I’ve decided to make my own version and share it with you.
Fill a cocktail glass with ice. Pour in the lemonade, Pimm’s and Ginger Ale. Stir to combine. If you’re feeling fancy, add a straw and a lemon garnish.
What’s your favorite cocktail for spring? If you’ve tried Pimm’s before, how do you use it? Bottom’s up!
