Don’t Judge Me Mondays: Raspberry Decadence

/ Uncategorized

Yesterday we took advantage of the sunny weather and went to a farmer’s market.  There were several wineries there offering samples (and who am I to say no to a wine sample!), one of which was the Lopez Island Winery.  While we enjoyed several of the wines, our favorite was the Raspberry wine.  It was full of raspberry flavor without being syrupy sweet, so we got a bottle!  I then remembered we had raspberry sorbet at home and couldn’t wait to put the two together.  It was is good!

Let’s get to it!

I’ll admit, I’m not sure if this is classified as a cocktail, sundae or float, but I kind of don’t care because it’s delicious. ;).

Start by scooping your raspberry sorbet into a stemless wine glass or other clear bowl. You just want something that you can stick a spoon into that is also clear so you can see the vibrant maroon of the wine and sorbet.

Now pour over the raspberry wine. While you might not be able to find the Lopez Winery raspberry wine, I suspect you can find another brand at your local gourmet grocery store or wine shop.

Whatever this thing is, it is so tasty and refreshing and would make the perfect dessert for a summer dinner party.  I might bust it out on a Thursday board game night when it’s really hot out, just for something different.  I like letting the sorbet melt so everything melds together and I can drink it, but there’s no wrong way to consume it!

Enjoy!
