Don’t Judge Me Mondays: Cherry Daiquiri

/ Uncategorized

Well I think I mentioned awhile back that I want to make more slushy cocktails.  It’s finally feeling like summer around here so I felt like it was time to share another one.  Derek and I were watching a food or cooking show of some kind and someone came up with the idea of a Cherry Daiquiri, it sounded like an amazing idea so I had to make my own.  The lushness of cherries really works well with a dark spiced rum.

Let’s do it!

Start by putting all the ingredients in your blender.  I used frozen cherries for this cocktail to get a really concentrated cherry flavor but keep a slushy texture.  Ice would just dilute that sumptuous cherry taste.

Now blend the ingredients together until the mixture is completely smooth.  Taste the drink and adjust as needed.  You may need to add more agave, depending on the tartness of your cherries.  Agave has a more natural flavor than honey, which is why I chose that.

Pour into a glass and garnish with a cherry or a lime slice on the edge.

Enjoy on a warm day!
